Yesterday I read the famous essay by Rahul Sankrityayan – Athato Ghumakkad Jigyasa (अथातो घुमक्कड़ जिज्ञासा) after a long time. Previously I read it in my school textbook. It's a part of the books written on the same subject. And it is really very motivating. I do agree with the author that jaunting is very experience enriching process. Books cannot teach everything. A person can learn only from experience and this experience can be gained through travelling. The best thing about this essay is that the author succeeds in drawing a vivid picture of advantages of journeying. His writing style is superb and the readers get ready to go on a trip at once. There’s another essay I’m searching for by great Hindi author Bharatendu Harishchandra. Perhaps I read that essay when I was studying in 8th standard. Its title was “Bharatvarshonnati Kaise ho” (भारतवर्षोन्नति कैसे हो). It was well written and very inspiring. But I couldn’t find it on internet.
